| Neil Grungras – Founder, Executive Director A refugee and immigration advocate with over twenty years of experience in the public and private sectors, Neil Grungras has worked extensively on behalf of vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers. Before founding ORAM, Mr. Grungras was director for Europe&the Middle East at HIAS, a leading US-based refugee and migration organization. He had previously directed the U.S. Department of State Overseas Processing Entity (“OPE”) for Iranian refugees in Vienna, Austria. There, he managed the processing of thousands of refugees from case inception to arrival in the U.S. Mr. Grungras has served as a refugee law adviser to several NGOs, has lectured and taught extensively on the topic at leading law schools, and co-founded a law school clinic assisting refugees and asylum seekers. | |

Scott Piro – Communications Consultant Scott Piro’s fifteen-year public relations career has been accented by service on behalf of nonprofit clients, with an emphasis on LGBT causes, public health issues and the arts. Most recently, Mr. Piro was an account director with PKPR, a boutique New York firm with special focus on clients endeavoring to create positive social change. He represented a wide variety of concerns – from champions of progressive and LGBT causes to innovators in media, film and the arts, to leaders in health and wellness. Mr. Piro began his career as a media trainer with Robert Marston and Associates, Inc. He later moved to Planned TV Arts, where he worked with a broad range of authors and clients, including Caroline Kennedy, Sarah Ferguson, The Duchess of York and the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. His many placements have included The Today Show, Good Morning America, The View, The New York Times, Reader's Digest and TIME. |

Jonathan S. Huggett – Chairman of the Board A leading figure in nonprofit and social sector organizational management, Jonathan Huggett has dedicated much of his professional career to public service in the international arena. Among his many undertakings, Mr. Huggett counseled the Open Society Institute in New York, Khulisa in South Africa, and Choice Humanitarian, a global development NGO operating in Mexico. He was a Partner with Bridgespan in San Francisco and New York, where he advised a number of nonprofit and philanthropic organizations. Mr. Huggett has served on the boards of numerous organizations, and was Board Chairman of the Stop AIDS Project and Zerapath. Formerly a Partner with Bain&Company, Mr. Huggett has run three companies, including Pilkington Barnes Hind International of California, Bannock Consulting of London (UK), and PlanetOut of San Francisco. He has authored several articles including "Who Decides? Mapping Power and Decision Making in Nonprofits." |

Roberta L. Robins, Esq. – Secretary of the Board Roberta Robins is a long-time advocate on women’s issues, including women’s health, gender abuse and gender bias. She is currently on the advisory board of the Women’s Intellectual Property Law Association (WIPLA), an organization dedicated to providing a forum for interaction, communication and support among women intellectual property attorneys and promoting the honor and dignity of women in the intellectual property legal profession. In addition, she serves on the Board of Trustees of the Montalvo Art Center in Saratoga, California. Ms. Robins is the managing partner of Robins&Pasternak LLP, a law firm specializing in intellectual property. |

Rony Sagy, Esq. – Board Member Rony Sagy's public interest work has focused on the pursuit and advancement of education for children with disabilities. As a seasoned trial attorney and negotiator, she has represented children with disabilities in class actions, seeking the enforcement of their rights to free appropriate public education. This work included obtaining a consent decree in favor of hundreds of children in East Palo Alto in a first-of-its-kind California case. Ms. Sagy is founder of Sagy Law associates LLP, a San Francisco law firm focused on complex litigation in the areas of corporate governance, business litigation and intellectual property. She has successfully litigated numerous cases before federal and state courts and at the World Intellectual Property Organization. |

Amy Joseph, Esq. -- Board Treasurer Amy Joseph is a long-time refugee advocate. A San Francisco attorney specializing in immigration law for the past twenty-five years, she has represented hundreds of asylum seekers and refugees in legal proceedings. Currently in private law practice, Ms. Joseph has dedicated most of her career to the non-profit sector, having worked at Jewish Family and Children’s Services of San Francisco and at the Bar Association of San Francisco. Ms. Joseph is active in numerous community projects in San Francisco. |

Bret J. Allan, Diplomacy Intern Bret Allan is ORAM’s intern on Diplomacy. A strong advocate of sustainable development, Mr. Allan is currently working toward his Master’s in Government, Security&Diplomacy Studies. He holds a BA degree in Economics from San Francisco State University. |

Jean Comley, Staff Attorney Jean Comley’s interests have always been to champion those who are underrepresented and who seek to become recognized, empowered, equal and productive members of our society. Ms. Comley joined ORAM as Volunteer Caseworker Liaison after a long and distinguished career in the field of secondary public education. After obtaining her law degree, she focused in the areas of civil rights, discrimination and employment law. She was also an activist leader with both the Mississippi Education Association and Jackson Association of Educators. Previous volunteer efforts have included the Mississippi ACLU. |
