ORAM provides much-needed support to refugees around in the world fleeing from persecution based on their sexual orientation, gender identity and gender.

In Turkey, ORAM helps refugees navigate UNHCR Refugee Status Determination procedures, obtain assistance from local health and social service providers, and access resettlement to countries like the United States, Canada and Australia. We assist the most vulnerable to get through the resettlement process as quickly as possible. We also provide English language lessons to those referred to ORAM's San Francisco resettlement program.

ORAM also helps connect LGBTI refugees around the world with supportive communities: first,  through its San Francisco-based Resettlement Pilot Program and second, by connecting recognized refugees with private sponsorship groups in Canada.
